Radar & AIS system at Fort Dauphin semaphore (Madagascar)

Themys has just completed the installation, configuration and commissioning of a #Radar & #AIS system at the Fort Dauphin semaphore (Madagascar).

This new semaphore, installed at the southern tip of the island, will enable operators to monitor the nautical and tactical situation of the marine environment in the area, and will allow the transmission of nautical information to #vessels sailing in the area, the fight against illegal fishing, environmental protection and the coordination of rescue operations at #sea.
The commissioning of this semaphore will enable Madagascar to ensure the sovereignty of its #maritime approaches more effectively.

This project was financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as part of France's cooperation with #Madagascar.
